IT’S LIKE RIDING A BIKE

A sure-fire way to get Sandra talking is to mention active transportation. An avid cyclist, Sandra believes that bike lanes are the future of Winnipeg, and that more bicycles on the road will lead to a happier, healthier province.

GOOD READS

Like a typical English major, Sandra couldn’t pick one favourite book. Her top three are: The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck, Lamb by Christopher Moore, and Ablutions by Patrick deWitt.

FLATLANDER GOES VERTICAL

Sandra’s greatest achievement was a 235km Costa Rican odyssey of cycling, hiking, white-water rafting and kayaking that saw her cross the Talamanca Mountain Range in nine days. A flatlander at heart, Sandra credits her survival to a never-say-die attitude and a bottle of wine.
