As a Mechanical Designer, Jerrod brings a practical, systems-focused approach to engineering challenges. A graduate of the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, his experience spans building systems, product development, and mechanical design for real-world applications. From HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design to developing airflow control products for critical environments such as hospitals and laboratories, Jerrod’s work is grounded in performance, compliance, and reliability.
While at university, Jerrod worked as a teaching assistant in the FABLAB, where he supported students through hands-on digital fabrication and automation projects. He operated and maintained laser cutters and FDM 3D printers, developed safety documentation, and researched emerging additive manufacturing technologies. His standout work included designing removable magnetic print beds for LulzBot printers integrated with 6-axis robotic arms for automated 3D printing. Today, Jerrod brings that same structured, collaborative mindset to his professional work creating clear project plans, executing thorough testing programs, and working closely with engineers and manufacturers to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.
