Symrath is an interior design team member with a strong academic foundation, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for creating meaningful, people-focused spaces. Holding both a Master of Interior Design and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Architecture, she brings a thoughtful and community-minded perspective to her work. Through leadership roles, advocacy initiatives, and active involvement in Manitoba’s design community, Symrath has developed a reputation for teamwork, curiosity, and a genuine enthusiasm for the evolving world of interior design.

In addition to project work, Symrath is passionate about bringing people together. Her involvement with organizations such as Building Equality in Architecture: Prairies (BEAP), PIDIM, IDAS, and other student leadership groups reflects her commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and building strong connections within the industry. Equal parts creative and practical, she’s just as likely to be organizing ideas on a pin-up wall as she is revisiting playlists from Young the Giant or scrolling through her camera roll looking for the perfect photo.

Game Night Guaranteed

Board games are Symrath’s go-to way to unwind and connect with friends and family. Whether it’s strategy, teamwork, or friendly competition, she loves how games bring people together — though rumours of her being “too competitive” remain unconfirmed.

Double Take

One of the more surprising things about Symrath? She has a fraternal twin sister. A built-in best friend, occasional partner-in-crime, and someone who has likely spent years answering, “Wait… are you two twins?”

Touchscreen Throwback

The first big purchase Symrath made with her own paycheque was an iPod Touch — arguably the ultimate status symbol of its era. Between that and her love for music from Young the Giant, it’s safe to say a good playlist has always been essential.
