The Big Move

After years of dreaming, researching, planning, and building, Year Eight brought one of the most highly anticipated milestones in Republic’s history: the move into our brand-new home.

On March 1, 2018, RAINO—Republic Architecture Inc. New Office—officially opened its doors. Every detail, from the big-picture vision down to the smallest finish, was thoughtfully crafted to reflect who we were as a team and who we aspired to become. Moving day wasn’t just a change of address—it was a turning point, a new chapter, and a homecoming all at once.

Year Eight also brought fresh energy to the #PeopleOfRepublic. We welcomed Noah Jacobson to strengthen our architectural team, Leah Leibl as our in-house legal counsel, and Jennifer Zatser to expand our Marketing Communications, and Business Development efforts. From Day One, they brought new perspectives, energy, and friendships that helped us grow stronger and more adaptable as we settled into our new space.

Our eighth annual retreat took us to Washington, DC, where inspiration came from every direction. From the monuments of the National Mall to the Smithsonian museums, from the neoclassical architecture of Capitol Hill to the bold, contemporary spaces scattered across the city, we immersed ourselves in the capital’s rich history and design culture. And, in classic Republic fashion, our foodies ensured no meal went unnoticed or unappreciated.

Closer to home, Project #146 in St. Andrews, MB was wrapping up, giving our entire team a rare opportunity to experience one of our own projects together. A field trip to Lower Fort Garry became the perfect way to celebrate the moment and cap off an already unforgettable year.

Even with the excitement of RAINO and everything else happening around us, the work never slowed. Our growing team balanced projects and deadlines with care and precision, ensuring our portfolio, topping off at 345 projects by the end of Year Eight, kept moving steadily forward.

By year’s end, we closed another chapter in Republic’s story—more energized, more united, and more ready than ever for the next adventure.
