Year Four
A Rebrand and Gaining Momentum
By Year Four, it was clear that our little studio on Donald Street had outgrown its early days. What began as (re)public architecture had evolved to republic Architecture Inc.—a sign that change was in the air.
It was also a year of fresh energy. Interior designers joined the team, bringing new perspectives and creative spark, making us a one-stop shop for architecture and interiors. Suddenly, our sketches had new life, our material boards gained new layers, and our studio felt busier—and brighter—than ever.
Year Four brought more adventures, too. Our fourth annual retreat whisked us away to Boston, MA, where we wandered historic streets, soaked in the architecture, and sampled every local dish we could justify. Closer to home, we took our studio outdoors for Park(ing) Day 2014, transforming a downtown parking space into a hub of creativity and connection right in the heart of the city—fresh air, passing neighbours, and a few curious side-eyes included.
By year’s end, our portfolio had grown to 83 projects, and we could feel the momentum building. Our milestone 100th project was on the horizon for Year Five, and the studio buzzed with anticipation. Big things were coming—and we couldn’t wait.
