Dan Dufault has an unmistakable passion for buildings. A technically-minded Architect, Dan displays an abundance of knowledge and enthusiasm for building science, a distinct quality he consistently brings to his projects. Because of this, he has built a proficiency in providing code analyses, building and site assessments, and construction administration throughout his career. Dan, a Masters graduate of the University of Manitoba Faculty of Architecture, is a studied architectural professional who has practiced over the last decade on numerous projects that cumulatively have spanned the longitudinal boundaries of Canada and, as such, has a working knowledge of the varied contexts within the great Canadian landscape.

Dan's knowledge of construction methods and building techniques is supported by his experience with multi-disciplinary project management. Within the last decade, he has performed architectural services for a range of clients that include the Royal Canadian Mountain Police, the Department of National Defence, the Winnipeg Airport Authority, and Public Works and Government Services Canada. Dan continuously builds on his knowledge of his clients' internal processes and structures while providing his own, informed recommendations on highly complex architectural issues.

His Greatest Mentor

Dan lists his grandfather as his greatest mentor, because he has 'instilled a passion for learning how to build.'

Always Two-Tired

Most days, Dan will choose to bike to work. He believes cycling combines living a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle with learning about mechanics. 'Also, bikes are super cool.'

Working Together

'Awareness and understanding of all involved disciplines through every stage of a project' is what Dan thinks we need more of in the architecture industry.
