Drawing on her international experience, Claudia Penate is an accomplished Interior Designer who has worked on government, commercial, and residential projects in Canada and abroad. Adept in space planning, project coordination, site measurements, drafting, and selection of finishes, Claudia lives the Republic philosophy that teamwork and collaboration are the foundation for good design and great results.

Claudia holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the Universidad Albert Einstein, El Salvador. Technically proficient with multiple design software, Claudia has extensive experience in managing projects from inception through to completion, and she brings this level of organizational skill and attention to detail to each of her clients.

When asked about her favourite architectural style, Claudia chose “Organic—because it makes reference to the nature surrounding it. The building’s design is thought of as if it were a whole organism.”

Claudia’s creative flow doesn’t stop when the workday ends; she would happily spend all her time in an art supply store and could fill a novel with her knowledge of making wire jewelry.

When in doubt, Claudia likes to take a moment to breathe and clear her thoughts. She might listen to Kermit the Frog sing “Rainbow Connection” to regroup, and if that doesn’t work, there’s always white chocolate, her favourite indulgence.
